Why A Cleansing Diet Can Make You Feel Worse
Many people dread swimsuit season. Scores of otherwise health conscious citizens subject themselves to deprivation diets, or look to a detox diet, or start an intense exercise regimen, often in blazing hot weather, to look slimmer in revealing clothes because of the need to fit into the image that they think they must portray but instead many unwittingly end up harming their health.
Early June and January are the two times of year people do crazy, desperate things to get thin fast so they go on fasts, yo-yo diets, detox diets, and ‘cleanses’ without realizing that there are serious consequences to weight loss and nutrient restriction and they do not realize that crash dieting does not work and can be dangerous because of a message that gets lost in the national clamor over rising rates of overweight and obesity. It is important to know what you are getting into when you are considering a detox plan.
You can damage your cardiac system with a detox plan. Some people believe that very low calorie regimens are based on the false theory that the body needs help eliminating waste. If a person is not getting enough fuel their body can go into a conservation mode and actually use less energy. This can lead to future weight gain. It also deprives your body of essential nutrients. The things that occur with these programs does not have to be permanent damage. There can be some very harmful effects if a person follows a pattern of reckless dieting. Long-term calorie-cutting can eventually lead to heart muscle loss.
Beware of fad diets. There is plenty of research about the dangers of these types of programs. This is especially true when the diets become a fad. In one case the diet seemed to work wonders. Some people reported losing as many as 10 pounds a week on the formula. As more people tried the diet, more people were reported to have health issues that were cropping up. For some people the strain of the diet caused them to hurt their cardiac system due to the lack of nutrients that were needed.
There has been plenty of research about the harmful effects of these programs. When a person is using these programs they have a lower amount of the essential minerals and vitamins that their body needs to stay healthy and keep their heart working well. Studies have also found that the diets can cause a drop in blood pressure and sodium depletion.
The true extent of the risk posed by crash diets is unclear, however. A person is watched intensely when they are examining the effects of these programs on them. Check with your physician to make sure what you are planning to do is safe for you before you begin. But crash dieters are more likely to consult their friends than a doctor. This leads to the problems that many people face.
Using a cleansing system is not always going to work for everyone. Extreme diets are simply bad for you and they don’t work according to their detractors. That does not stop people from using them.
Getting fit and trim is not a difficult process. Being obese can cause a person many health problems at some point in their life. If a person can lose just ten percent of their weight they will have a better chance of staying healthier.
But it’s important to lose fat naturally, which usually means slowly as most experts recommend dropping just 1 to 2 pounds a week, and despite what some brand-name diets claim, the best way to do so is to exercise regularly and stick to a diet that limits saturated fat and sugars and emphasizes fruits and vegetables, lean meats and fish, and whole grains. The process of losing weight requires a person to eat right and get physically active. In order to get healthy and stay that way, it is the best plan.

The is a wide choice of drugs or plans to help a person remove the toxins from their body. In addition to the plans that are advertised, resorts also offer a person a detoxing experience if they are willing to pay for it. Research on the ineffectiveness of these plans is still throwing doubt on them.
Like other fad diets, detox diets promise quick weight losses that are ultimately unsustainable, and many other benefits that can occur naturally because they are based on junk science rather than a true understanding of how the body works, but worst of all, extreme diets like the Master Cleanse can cause serious side effects to people who are in vulnerable groups. They give a person a feeling that they have been protective of their health. A cleansing system is a short term program and people will return to what they did before they started the program. The bad habits are the reasons that a person sought out a detox plan to follow.
Detox proponents say the body is under constant assault from toxins such as smog, pesticides, artificial sweeteners, sugar, and alcohol and without a periodic cleansing trough a detox diet, these poisons accumulate in the body and cause headaches, fatigue, and a variety of chronic diseases.
The science behind the detox theory is flawed. We excrete these poisons through normal bodily functions and they are continually flushed away. It is an ongoing process that happens quickly. Research has been unable to prove that following one of these detox programs will help a person get rid of any more toxins.
Most detox regimens urge dieters to strip down their diets to the basics of water and raw fruits or vegetables. The use of supplements is another popular way for people to cleanse their systems.
There's a grain of wisdom in detox diets since it is true that the average person doesn't drink enough water or consume enough fruits and vegetables, but the problem is most detox diets are so restrictive that they're ineffective for long-term use, and the weight loss that occurs is usually temporary unlike a plan that will help a person lose fat naturally.
For people who follow these programs there have been some good things reported. It is not always because of the cleansing system that a person is using. Clearer skin can result from improved hydration, and less bloating could be a result of eating less food.
Some detox dieter’s report a boost in energy. This is actually a reaction to starvation. Our body is actually going into a survival mode that has been developed over thousands of years.
A good part of a cleansing plan is that a person often times must give up habits that are harmful to them in their regular lifestyle. Moderation is best. When a person uses one of these restrictive diets they are often taken it to the extreme.
If a person has other health issues a detox program can be very dangerous. It is important to understand how the effect of getting proper nutrition has on their body and there is a large group of people who should avoid restrictive diets.
There are many detox plans that have a person use medicine to flush out their colon and the effects of this can be dangerous. Laxative abuse is commonly associated with eating disorders. Laxative abuse can cause severe dehydration and heart or colon damage.
Losing your fat overnight is the dream of those who follow these programs. The truth is that they can have a yo-yo effect on a person. It does not take long to start a healthy life. A person should avoid the shortcuts. Rather than following a detox that is a temporary fix, get out and exercise and alter your diet to include more healthy foods. Keep the good habits in your life forever.

Why Should A Person Remove The Toxins That Are In Them
People are encouraged by the idea. We do not want our body to be filled with poisons. Plus these diets encourage you to eat natural foods and involve lots of water and veggies — all stuff you know is good for you and you hear about celebrities going on detox diets, and people who go into drug or alcohol rehabs are said to be detoxing, so shouldn't a one of these plans be a good bet?
The reality is that the claims are often false. No one is completely sure how safe it is for a person to follow a program that is sometime very radical in nature. The unwanted chemicals are just that, unwanted because of the effects of some of them. Toxins can come from food or water and just about everything that we touch. We do have natural ways for us to remove these poisons that get into our systems. We eliminate them in the form of sweat, urine, and feces.
Although detox diet theories have not been proven scientifically, the people who support them believe that toxins don't always leave our bodies properly during the elimination of waste, but instead, they think toxins hang around in our digestive, lymph, and gastrointestinal systems as well as in our skin and hair causing problems like tiredness, headaches, and nausea.
The basic idea behind detox diets is to temporarily give up certain kinds of foods that are thought to contain toxins. A detox diet will help remove the toxins that have been built up over time. Often times a person can remove the toxins without the extra help.
No cleansing program is the same. Most involve some version of a fast. The fast can last for up to a week. To break the fast a person needs to control what they start taking in. There are also procedures that a person can do that will assist in the cleansing. Others recommend that you take special teas or supplements to help the purification process.
If a person does not want to avoid all food they can find a plan that restricts what they eat. Some of them claim that following their plan will help a person who has a goal of lose fat naturally while others promise a renewed feeling of energy and positive emotions, but the problem is that not all of these things will occur. A detoxification is not going to solve all of a person’s health issues immediately. Knowledge about how a plan works is important. Before trying any program, do some research. It could be the difference between success and failure.
A medical professional can offer some good advice about what a person should do. Find out if you are healthy enough to try one of these programs. The medical professional will be able to let you know if you are going to do something that will have serious side effects down the road.
There are lots of claims about what a detox diet can do, from preventing and curing disease to giving people more energy or focus. Of course, eating a diet lower in fat and higher in fiber can help many people feel healthier. But people who support detox diets claim that this is because of the elimination of toxins. Research has not been able to prove that a person can speed up the cleansing process. Just because you get rid of the poisons does not mean that you will be any healthier than you were before.

What Not to Expect When Detox Dieting
The idea behind getting the poisons that accumulate within us through some type of program is to improve a person’s health. Detox dieting is not a cure for every disease. While most people experience great relief from every day annoying symptoms, a detox diet does not eliminate diseases that are already in the system like cancer cells which can not be removed by detox dieting. because although they may have been caused by a toxin they are not an actual toxin. There are no diets that will remove them from your body.
Most people drop several pounds when detox dieting. There are those who drop a significant amount of weight when detox dieting. This is normal, and while some of it can be contributed to the flushing of fat cells, water weight, and calorie reduction, there is some permanent weight loss happening provided you do not return to eating habits that are probable for weight gain because you are helping the body lose fat naturally. While detox dieting, learn to recognize the foods you are putting into your body. It is important to take what is learned and get rid of the bad habits that you used to have and replace them with good habits.
The list of detox diets goes on and on and includes things like the grapefruit diet plans and the Atkins diet plan and the green tea diet plan and the national chain diet plans for which an individual can spend countless hours and thousands of dollars trying on various diet plans and while some will work many others will ultimately fail. Fad diets have different effects on different people. Cleaning the toxins out of your body has benefits for all. One thing that can occur is a person gets slimmer. The goal is to clean the body of the various toxins and wastes which have accumulated over the years. The environment is a major source of all of the unwanted chemicals that can find their way inside of us and need to be removed. Cleanisng the unwanted chemicals causes a person to shed the pounds for several reasons. Remember that weight loss is not the primary goal of a detox diet plan.
Keep in mind that not all detox diet plans are the same. Cleansing systems are not the same as when they started and a person has a large variety of plans to sort through. You can choose a program that has you drinking special fluids throughout the day. Other plans call for a person to try to follow a restrictive diet that is very tough on them. If you're going to try any diet plan at all, it would simply make sense to start at the beginning. In order to get fit and trim and stay that way, a person needs to make the right choices.
When a person is able to get rid of the accumulated poisons they will feel healthier. A cleansing system is the only plan that can say anything like that.
If you want to get your body into shape, a plan that removes the toxins might be a good place to begin. It is important to pick a cleansing system that you can and will follow as it is prescribed. It would be a good idea to check with your doctor to find something that will work for you. Following the plan is second step in the process. The third step is enjoying the results.
